A dark-skinned human in his early twenties strolled through the streets of Rhip, a traditionalist town built right in the center of a vibrant jungle. Normally, Beryl would've never thought he would visit a place like this. However, ever since Beryl pledged to discover the Omni Ki, he seized every opportunity to find information regarding the Omni Ki's location and the means of accquiring it. Despite many, Beryl did not want the Omni Ki for himself. No, he instead wanted to make sure that it remained inaccessible to all. The universe could not afford to have another King of All, someone who could end existence on a whim.
Beryl had stiff competition though; practically numberless amounts of people were seeking the Omni Ki, each with their own motivations and desires. What were the chances that someone like him, a normal, graduate student, would be able to locate a swell of energy that had the power to turn someone into the most powerful living thing in existence?
The chances might be ridiculously small, but there was a chance regardless.
Eventually, Beryl drew to a stop in front of a martial arts school. People flitted in and out of the building, some donning gi, while others opted for more combat-oriented clothing. Nonetheless, they all looked like they were capable fighters, and there was a massive banner spanning across the building's width: "Be strong enough to tackle the dangers of the Omni Band! Join the Rhip Martial Arts School today!"
Beryl lowered his eyelids and smirked humorlessly. "The Omni Band," he said out loud. "That is somewhere I will definitely visit."
