NAME: Tako // Phage
ALIAS: Project XV
AGE: 25 // 1
SPECIES: Bio-Android
ABSORPTION | In order to progress through their transformations, a Bio-Android has to absorb multiple victims. When a Bio-Android absorbs a living thing, their power gets added to the Bio-Android's energy stores. When a Bio-Android absorbs a player character, they will be able to gain 10 Z-Points. If a Bio-Android instead chooses to absorb an NPC, they will be able to get credit for their next transformation but won't get an XP reward. IN ORDER TO ABSORB OTHERS, YOU MUST BE WITHIN A DEATH-ENABLED THREAD, MEANING THAT YOU ARE AT RISK OF GETTING KILLED IF YOU TRY TO ABSORB SOMEONE.
-Human | Bio-INGENUITY | Humans are able to learn five extra techniques. | The baseline of what makes 'Phage' is Tako, the young scientist that developed the Phage serum, a creative young man part of Tako's mind still resides within Phage lending his creative mind to Phage's needs.
Bio Androids instead recieve 2 extra techniques.
-Demon | Bio-SAVAGERY | Demons are known for the utter brutality in combat. They are able to increase the level of a damaging technique by +15. This is only usable once every five posts. | The demonic DNA used to create Phage was primarily intended to be a bonding agent to help the process along, Tako, however, underestimated the malevolent nature of a Demon and even the small amounts used have resulted in a substantial increase in aggression in Phage.
Bio Androids instead gain a +10 bonus to there level for a damaging technique.
-Frost Demon | Bio-NATURAL SUPERIORITY | As a testament to their natural strength, Frost Demons gain a passive +10 to their Ki. | Frost Demon DNA was used to provide an additional layer of durability to the form of Phage as well Tako hoped the innate strength present in the average Frost Demon would likewise translate to greater power for Phage once it was completed. The use of Frost Demon DNA also aided in the shape-changing abilities of Phage as the bony structure of the lesser states of a Frost Demon provide the means for Phage's base state to produce its armored exterior. Phages 'enraged' state also appears to draw heavily from the genetic 'memory' of the standard Frost Demon second form.
Bio Androids instead gain a +3 instead of +5
GENDER: Male
SPECIALIZATION: Warrior
ENDURE PAIN Allows you to completely ignore pain for two posts; this DOES NOT negate damage in any way. Three post cooldown.
RAMPAGE Channel your rage to turn into a terrifying combatant; boosts level by +10 for three rounds. The level is lowered by -5 for three posts afterward. Three post cooldown; the cooldown starts when the level boost ends.
TENACITY Allows you to use a WEAK technique even when you have no stamina left. Five post cooldown.
DO OR DIE Allows you to survive a normally fatal blow (as long as it doesn’t vaporize you) and to keep fighting for three rounds. If Stamina reaches 0, you will die. You can be healed during this time period to save your life, but you will fall unconscious and still be in critical condition for the remainder of the thread after the three rounds are over.
HEIGHT: Malleable, generally sits at 6'9"
WEIGHT: 276 lbs
HAIR COLOR: Variable // Generally None
EYE COLOR: Variable // Black
BODY TYPE: Variable // Generally humanoid with a heavily athletic build OR a hulking humanoid shaped monster.
APPEARANCE:
| Malleable Form | The main attraction in Phage's design, Tako sought to mimic the truly astounding resiliency and power of a Majin and merge it with the brilliance of man. This allows Phage to reshape it's form at will, Phage has no 'true' form simply forms it likes best.

Tako
PERSONALITY: The bulk of Phage’s personality comes from his creator Tako as Tako used himself as the base for the perfected version of Phage, as a result Phage has a keen and analytical mind focused on picking out the best outcome for himself and taking hold of it as best he can, however where Tako often needed to rely entirely on his wits to convince others to help him or to get what he wanted Phage has the power to simply TAKE what he wants opening a much wider array of more direct options.
Despite this Phage tends towards a preference for creative solutions to his problems preferring to not reveal the entirety of his power so as to not attract unwanted attention and to ensure that he still has a few cards to play if an enemy familiar with his work catches him off guard.
However while it is a preference to act with subtlety and creativity Phage is not without his faults, faults born of every aspect of what made him, from Tako and his Frost Demon genetics he has a heightened sense of superiority, from his Demonic genetics he has developed a distinct ‘mean streak’ and a viciousness that his creator never possessed.
The final and perhaps most dangerous aspect of Phage's personality is something entirely unintended by Tako, the chemicals used to try to mimic the malleability of a Majin had some odd and unforseen side effects, namely that Phage posseses the same hunger as a Majin only barely sated by normal foods.
OVERVIEW: One cannot talk about the creature known as Phage without first understanding the man that was Tako, born before the search for the Omni Ki Tako was raised with the knowledge that out there somewhere was a means to harness a miraculous level of power, something that could put the wielder of such power above any other being in the world.
Growing up Tako wanted nothing more than to be that person, the person who would harness the Omni Ki and declare himself the one above all others. Tako was always a bit dramatic.
At first he’d hoped to become a great martial artist, the ultimate warrior that the Omni Ki would simply accept as it’s true and proper wielder. After all that had been the general belief he’d been instilled with, that the martial artist and great warriors were the ones capable of great feats of power, it stood to reason that the Omni Ki was simply waiting for the best.
Unfortunately Tako was not particularly adept in the physical arts, he managed a reasonable showing in his teens during his martial arts classes often managing to take his opponents off guard with better tactical choices, but try as he might he was simply not ‘built’ to be particularly strong and so once the stronger students began exceeding him too far in raw power they were more than capable of just taking a few hits from Tako to land the often single solid blow needed to beat him.
Frustrated by his failures in martial arts Tako turned his attention to his studies and found another passion that rivaled even his dreams of the Omni Ki. Science. Where he’d floundered in the physical arts Tako found himself excelling in the realm of the mind, and as he began to focus his passions he shifted his view on what ‘had to’ be the way to obtain the Omni Ki to fit into his expanded horizons.
If the Omni Ki had not yet accepted a great martial artist yet then perhaps that was not the true answer, perhaps what was needed was someone more intellectual. And so Tako decided that it would take a true genius to harness the Omni Ki, and perhaps even his studies could aid him in making up for his physical weaknesses. His studies in biology gave him hope that while he was at the time not a warrior that might be considered worthy of the Omni Ki he could MAKE himself worthy.
Tako’s burning passion and complete disinterest in being sociable with others allowed him to fast track himself through his schooling, he was quickly able to establish himself as a more than competent scientist by working with a few companies but it was all simple a means to an end, a way for him to make the connections necessary to obtain the materials he needed for his ultimate project.
As Tako worked harder he found he needed increasingly difficult and not-quite-legal things for his project, the best way to go about obtaining them was to work with less than savory people which lead to a move to Horizon Live a city more than capable of providing him with people morally bankrupt enough to not question him as long as he could provide what they needed.
It took quite a few attempts to get his project to a functioning state, the first ten were complete failures, however with every iteration of his work Tako drew closer to what he was certain would be the final project, however as he drew closer he requires increasingly complex subjects to test on but Tako rationalized it away with the knowledge that any wrong he did now would be made up for down the road when he obtained the Omni Ki.
As the fifteenth iteration was nearing completion Tako’s current employers began asking a few too many questions about what he was doing, what little Tako was willing to tell them unfortunately still brought interest and they paid him a visit at his lab just as Tako was about to run his tests on his latest project to see if it truly was as perfect as it appeared to be.
With the thugs clearly intending to take what he was working on to there boss Tako saw himself with little other option than to make use of his untested Project Fifteen.
And so Phage was born, as Tako injected himself with Project Fifteen his body was warped and broken down merging with it to become something entirely different. The Thugs were suitably horrified by this, a few ran, the others opened fire. The ones who opened fire were promptly killed by the newly born Phage.
Phage found itself in a odd position, it could recall most of its creator’s live as it it were its own but felt a distinct disconnect from it, it could tell that what it had become was not exactly what Tako had wanted, but had no interest in reversing the process if even such a thing were possible and further wanted no part in anything else infringing upon it’s perfection by trying to replicate itself.
And so Phage burned Tako’s lab and all evidence of it’s creation with it, all that was left was to hunt down the few thugs who had escaped before it had fully formed to ensure nobody it didn’t want to know about it’s existence remained.
