The coastline had many, many beaches. The thick treeline of Amenbo Island's great mountain met the ocean directly, sometimes with a small stony scree. Mostly the overhanging branches of the trees hid the stones from sight. From a boat it appeared to be an impenetrable wall of green, stretching as far as the eye could see in any direction and so wildly curved that the bays could hide any number of warriors. The beach of the island eventually expanded from trees to sand, was brilliant in the moonlight of dusk with it's chalky white ribbon of cliffs, jagged and folded, shrinking into the distance. Below the cliffs were beaches of rocks made rough by the barnacles upon them. Each beach was divided by wooden groynes that stretched out to greet the coming waves, some like gap-toothed children, were missing planks.
In the distance a spit stretched out into the sea and upon the end was a lighthouse, lonely and abandoned. The foamy crests of the crashing waves were the only sound other than the cry of the gulls. The night sky above was dotted with stars that glistened like a row of Christmas lights. There were lighter patches, clusters of faint and bold light, the constellations altered according to the time of year. One red star hung prominent over all the rest, basking a section of the sky's clouds with a mystical luminescence through the scattered clouds. A three-quarter moon descended down into the ocean- it almost looked like it was submerged in the seas.
It was this beach Chire decided to walk, finally admitting to a well-deserved break from her seemingly endless search for Zen-Oh's godly essence. The beach was an interesting place to the saiyan- before the whole planet merging fiasco, the saiyan would commonly relax near the sparse rivers on Planet Vegeta. But never had she seen water in this much mass! Flying above the ocean, Chire would stop to stare down into the waters, illuminated only by the waning moon. She could make out darkened, dotted masses of colors from the coral reef below, with many species of fish swimming about- some of them even shined like a light with their own bioluminescants! She spotted a few hardy species from Vegeta's rare rivers swimming about, along with some smaller, more docile fish that she could only assume originated from Earth.
Turning her head again, Chire would whip around when a splash echoed in her ears. Two tails rised above the water before diving back down in a haste, with black shadows darting into the depths of the ocean. Chire narrowed her eyes, spotting a bigger mass swimming down in the deeper reaches of the seas. Weird. But not her problem. Shrugging, the female flew back to the shore, flying over and propping herself in a cross-legged position on a palm tree. Exhaling slowly, the female saiyan closed her eyes, trying to ignore the repentant, almost panicked splashing coming from the sea.
Eye twitching a little while it was closed, Chire would groan and rub a hand down her face when a ki signature approaching quickly alerted her senses. People always seemed to show up right when she was about to doze off or grab a bite to eat. There were many people on this merged planet, and the saiyan couldn't blame them. But was it too much to ask for a little alone time every now and then?
